Area manufacturing companies struggle to hire new employees

Today’s employment market is leaving area manufacturing companies struggling to hire workers.

According to the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development, the state led the Midwest in growth rate of manufacturing jobs. The state added 12,600 from September 2016 to September 2017.

But all that growth is leaving some companies in the Chippewa Valley finding it hard to hire new employees.

“We are not alone in the search for candidates,” says Jenn Richardson, HR/Public Relations Manager, PMI, LLC.
